The first floor plan consists of the coat check, restrooms, office, reception, bar, dining area and the kitchen with a service entrance. There are two staircases that lead up to the mezzanine. The first staircase that is visible as soon as you enter through the door is a huge, dramatic curved staircase that gives a sense of being in a ballroom. The floor follows the curves of the dancers' silhouette and separates the different areas.
MEZZANINE FLOOR PLAN:

The mezzanine allows enough open space to the first floor so that even though it is underneath, it still has a sense of connection to the rest of the building as the roof elements extend all the way down to the first floor. This gives the sense of the embrace between the two dancers as they move along the dance floor executing the Tango dance.
Lets look at this in class- but some of the spaces do not seem to be accurate. i.e. the stage seems very large and circulation/dancing may interfer with one another. I would also like you to work on the section or 3D sketches - the curves and movements in plan could be very dynamic in 3D.
